5 Ways MBodied Helps People Who "Can't Make Art!"

“I can’t make art! I’m not creative. Art is for those people, over there with “natural talent.” If these are some thoughts that go through your mind, we have something to tell you!

No one is “naturally” good at art. It truly takes practice to be good at anything. And it really, really helps to have someone teach you and guide you. With MBodied, we have a 5-step system for helping students with NO experience go from “I’m not creative” to “I can’t believe I did that!”

  1. We help students get comfortable with learning by talking about expectations up front. No one expects you to be able to drive a car the first time you get behind the wheel so why expect I can paint a masterpiece on my first canvas?!

  2. We help students feel safe to learn by providing a comfortable and inviting space and by not assuming you already know something about the medium we’re introducing.

  3. We offer practice, practice, practice in our classes! The only way to get good at something is to practice. And the goal for each practice lesson is to learn something, that’s it. You don’t even have to like your practice picture, that’s not what it’s about.

  4. We provide expert guidance and small classes so that people can get 1 on 1 help from the teacher and learn in a way that makes sense to them!

  5. With MBodied classes, you also receive a community right away. It helps to be around other people who are also learning and we encourage students to talk to each other about their art from day one.

Art classes with MBodied are something you will look forward to every week. Your stress will melt away when you pick up the brush or pencil. I promise you will enjoy your experience and leave with a hobby that inspires you for years to come!
