There’s really no better way to begin than with MBodied’s Introduction to Drawing Course. We not only teach you the foundations and essential techniques in live time, we also provide a community, structure, and a path that will enhance your ability to see.
Strengthen the connection between eye to hand movement in this 8-week course where we will take you from basic outline work to mastering the magic of light and shadow as well as intricate details.
Get to know and love the grounding medium of both graphite and charcoal. At the end of the 3 weeks, take your newfound skills to the test and create your own unique composition.
Well provide the tips and tricks in original art making and then top it off with a virtual art show, friends and family welcome!

FAQ's about our Intro to Drawing Class
What if I'm going to miss a class?
No problem, we've got you covered. We record every class and post them inside the private member's area within 24 hours of class.
What will the classes be like?
We always start with a get-to-know-you question to build community.
Then Shannon will demo the lesson for the night. Then students start working on their assignment and have individual help when needed.
What will we draw on and with?
You will draw with artist pencils, charcoal, ink, and marker depending on the assignment. It may be helpful to draw on drawing boards on an easel so that you are looking at your image head on, which helps with perspective and composition.
Who will be in my class?
Your class will be adults who are looking to relax, be creative, and express themselves. On special occasions, we let mature teens into our classes as well.
What if I have absolutely no experience?
No experience is great! This course is specifically designed for beginners to learn all the foundations and basic techniques of drawing!
How do I prepare for my first class?
For your first class, make sure you have your Zoom link and check the materials list for your class so that you have everything you need to get started.
How much individual instruction will I get?
After teaching the lesson, Shannon will be available for guidance and questions so that you can get individual instruction whenever you need it. This allows for you to get into the flow and not be bothered OR get any help you need just depending on your mood for the evening!
